What is a Pressure Reducing Valve?

A Pressure Reducing Valve is an automatic valve that reduces the pressure from a high value at its inlet to a low and steady set pressure irrespective of any changes in pressure upstream or the flow demand. It helps protect pipelines and machines from excess pressure and is extensively used in different processes.
