Incoloy Valves

Incoloy Valve Manufacturer in Germany

ValvesOnly Europe, as a Incoloy Valve Manufacturer in Germany, manufactures and supplies Incoloy ball, gate, and globe valves for high temperature and corrosive process applications. Manufactured from Incoloy 825, 800, 800H, and 800HT alloys, these valves are used in chemical processing, offshore facilities, refineries, and heat-treatment systems requiring excellent resistance to oxidation, carburization, and chloride-induced corrosion.

What is an Incoloy Valve?

Incoloy valves are valves manufactured using nickel iron chromium alloys, primarily Incoloy 825 and Incoloy 800/800H/800HT, selected for their resistance to high temperature oxidation, carburization, and corrosion in aggressive process environments. These valves are used where standard stainless steel or carbon steel components would be subject to accelerated corrosion or reduced service life.

Grades of Incoloy Used in Valve Manufacturing:

  • Incoloy 825 (UNS N08825) – Resistant to chloride ion stress corrosion cracking, pitting, and crevice corrosion suited for sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid, and sour gas environments.
  • Incoloy 800 (UNS N08800) – Resistant to oxidation and carburization at elevated temperatures.
  • Incoloy 800H/800HT (UNS N08810/N08811) – Modified for higher creep and stress rupture strength in high temperature service.

Types of Incoloy Valve:

Incoloy 2 Piece Ball Valve

Constructed with a two piece body design, this valve allows disassembly for inspection and maintenance of internal components without removing the valve from the pipeline. Suited for on/off isolation service in corrosive and high-temperature process lines.

Incoloy 3 Piece Ball Valve

Built with a three piece body design featuring a separate center section, allowing the ball and seats to be serviced without disturbing the end connections or pipeline alignment. Suited for lines requiring frequent maintenance access.

Incoloy Gate Valve

Designed for full bore, straight line flow with a wedge type closure mechanism, used for on/off isolation in high temperature and corrosive service lines where minimal pressure drop is required during full flow.

Incoloy Globe Valve

Designed with a linear motion closure mechanism for throttling and flow regulating applications, used where precise flow control is required in corrosive or high temperature process conditions.

Design and Manufacturing Standards:

  • ASME B16.34 – Valve design
  • API 600 / API 602 – Gate valve design for cast and forged construction
  • API 6D – Pipeline valve specification
  • BS 5351 – Ball valve design for petroleum and process industries
  • ASME B16.10 – Face to face and end to end dimensions
  • ASME B16.5 / B16.47 – Flange dimensions

Application Areas for Incoloy Valve:

  • Sour gas processing lines
  • Sulfuric and phosphoric acid handling systems
  • High temperature furnace and heat treatment lines
  • Offshore process piping exposed to chloride bearing fluids
  • Chemical processing lines with cyclic thermal exposure
  • Flue gas and exhaust handling systems

Selection Criteria for Incoloy Valve:

  • Process temperature and thermal cycling frequency
  • Presence of chlorides, sulfides, or other corrosive agents
  • Required pressure class and end connection type
  • Need for full bore flow (gate/ball) vs. throttling control (globe)
  • Maintenance access requirements (2-piece vs. 3-piece ball valve body)

Why Incoloy Valve?

  • Resist oxidation and scaling at sustained high operating temperatures
  • Withstand carburizing atmospheres in furnace and process heating lines
  • Resist chloride ion stress corrosion cracking and pitting in aggressive media
  • Maintain mechanical strength under cyclic thermal loading
  • Suited for sour gas and acidic process environments where standard stainless grades degrade faster
  • Provide extended service life in corrosive high temperature applications, reducing frequency of component replacement

Manufacturing Capability at Valvesonly Europe:

Valvesonly Europe manufactures Incoloy valves to specified pressure classes, end connections, and trim configurations, with material test certificates, hydrostatic testing, and dimensional inspection carried out for each order. Valves are built to project specification with supporting technical documentation and drawings provided on request.
