Hastelloy Valve

Hastelloy Valve Manufacturer in Europe

ValvesOnly Europe manufactures Hastelloy valve in C276 and B3 grades for handling highly corrosive media, including acids, chlorides, and oxidizing chemicals. As a manufacturer, we produce Hastelloy valves in ball, butterfly, check, globe, and gate configurations for process lines operating under aggressive chemical and thermal conditions.

What is a Hastelloy Valve?

Hastelloy Valve is a flow control equipment which is made up of Hastelloy Nickel Alloy and which is designed to be resistant to pitting, crevice, and stress corrosion. Hastelloy C276 provides protection against many oxidizing and reducing environments while Hastelloy B3 is suitable for hydrochloric acid and other reducing chemicals.

Types of Hastelloy Valve:

Hastelloy C276/B3 Ball Valve

A Hastelloy ball valve uses a rotating bored ball to control flow with a quarter turn, offering tight shut off in corrosive process lines carrying acids and chloride bearing fluids.

Hastelloy C276/B3 Butterfly Valve

A Hastelloy butterfly valve uses a rotating disc mounted on a shaft to control flow across large diameter pipelines, providing a compact design for corrosive fluid handling with minimal installation length.

Hastelloy C276/B3 Check Valve

A Hastelloy check valve is capable of letting flow only in one direction, and shuts off automatically when there is flow in the opposite direction.

Hastelloy C276/B3 Globe Valve

A Hastelloy globe valve uses a disc and seat arrangement to throttle and regulate flow, suited for applications requiring precise flow control of corrosive or high-temperature media.

Hastelloy C276/B3 Gate Valve

A Hastelloy gate valve uses a sliding gate to provide full open or full closed operation, used in corrosive process lines where minimal flow restriction is required during full flow conditions.

Selection Criteria for Hastelloy Valve:

  • Chemical composition and concentration of the process media
  • Operating temperature and pressure at the point of installation
  • Requirement for shut off, throttling, or backflow prevention
  • Presence of chlorides or reducing acids that determine C276 vs. B3 grade selection
  • End connection compatibility with existing pipework
  • Actuation method required for the application

Installation Points for Hastelloy Valve:

  • Acid handling and chemical processing lines
  • Chlorine and chloride bearing fluid systems
  • Flue gas desulfurization units
  • Chemical reactor inlet and outlet lines
  • Effluent and waste treatment lines carrying corrosive media
  • High temperature corrosive gas handling systems

Materials of Construction:

Our Hastelloy valves are manufactured from Hastelloy C276 and Hastelloy B3 castings and forgings, with internal trims in matching alloy grades or Stellite-faced components for erosion resistance under high velocity corrosive flow.

Benefits of Hastelloy Valve:

  • Corrosion Resistance – Resists pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking in chlorides and acids.
  • High-Temperature Strength – Retains mechanical strength at operating temperatures up to 425°C.
  • Broad Chemical Resistance – C276 handles oxidizing and reducing media B3 withstands hydrochloric acid.
  • Weldability – Welds using standard nickel alloy procedures without loss of corrosion resistance.
  • Extended Service Life – Reduced localized corrosion supports longer intervals between maintenance.
  • Dimensional Stability – Maintains sealing integrity across wide temperature swings.
