What is an F44 Valve?
An F44 valve is a flow control component manufactured from ASTM A182/A351 Grade F44 material (UNS S31254), a super austenitic stainless steel with high chromium, nickel, molybdenum, and nitrogen content. This gives it a Pitting Resistance Equivalent Number (PREN) above 43, making it well suited to chloride heavy, high corrosion environments where standard 316/316L stainless falls short such as seawater handling, offshore processing, and chemical injection lines.
