Function & Working

An ANSI gate valve is a linear motion valve designed to start or stop the flow of fluid through the movement of a gate or wedge. When the gate is fully raised, it allows unrestricted flow with negligible pressure loss. When lowered, it seats tightly against the valve body, providing a secure shut-off. The valve operates best in fully open or fully closed positions to prevent seat and gate erosion.
