Cryogenic Ball Valve Manufacturer in Europe – Valvesonly Europe

Valvesonly Europe is a Cryogenic Ball Valve Manufacturer in Europe, specializing in valves engineered for extreme low-temperature service down to –196°C. Manufactured in our European facilities in Germany and Italy, these valves are designed for use in LNG, liquid oxygen, nitrogen, argon, hydrogen, and ethylene systems. Each valve features an extended bonnet and stem design to keep the gland packing insulated from cryogenic media, ensuring smooth and leak-free operation in severe cryogenic environments.

Function & Working

Cryogenic ball valves provide reliable shut-off and control in low-temperature process pipelines. The valve operates through the rotation of a precision-machined ball with a through bore, allowing unobstructed flow when open and complete sealing when closed.
For smaller line sizes, floating ball designs ensure bubble-tight sealing, while trunnion-mounted designs are used for larger diameters and higher pressures. The extended bonnet assembly prevents ice formation near the stem area by keeping the seals above the frost line, ensuring stable performance and easy actuation even during prolonged cold exposure.

Testing & Quality Validation

All cryogenic ball valves are tested according to BS 6364 and ISO 28921 standards to verify safety and reliability in ultra-low-temperature conditions.

  • Cryogenic proof test in liquid nitrogen at –196°C

  • Helium leak detection for micro-leak integrity

  • Hydrostatic pressure testing for body and seat strength

  • Seat leakage testing at ambient and cryogenic temperatures

  • Fugitive emission testing as per ISO 15848-1 / API 641
