Cryogenic Check Valve

Valvesonly Europe is a Cryogenic Check Valve Manufacturer in Europe, with manufacturing facilities in Germany and Italy. Our cryogenic check valves are engineered to handle liquefied gases such as LNG, liquid oxygen, nitrogen, argon, hydrogen, and ethylene at temperatures as low as –196°C. Each valve features an extended body and bonnet design, keeping critical sealing components above the frost line to ensure reliable operation in cryogenic service.

Function & Working

Cryogenic check valves are automatic non-return valves that allow flow in one direction and close immediately when reverse flow occurs. This protects pumps, compressors, and storage tanks from potential damage caused by backflow. Valvesonly Europe supplies cryogenic check valves in swing type, lift type, and piston type designs. Each configuration is optimized to reduce pressure drop while maintaining tight shut-off in cryogenic applications.

Key Advantages

Automatic operation without external actuation
Extended body design for safe operation at cryogenic temperatures
Low cracking pressure for smooth forward flow
Spring-assisted closure options for quick response
Available in swing, lift, and piston types for different process needs
Proven performance in LNG, hydrogen, and industrial gas systems

Testing & Quality Validation

All cryogenic check valves are tested in compliance with BS 6364 and ISO 28921 standards.
Cryogenic testing in liquid nitrogen at –196°C
Helium leak detection for micro-sealing performance
Hydrostatic body test for pressure integrity
Seat leakage test at both ambient and cryogenic conditions
Fugitive emission testing to ISO 15848-1 / API 641 when required
