Function & Working
A high-performance wafer butterfly valve uses a double-offset (eccentric) disc design, where the shaft is offset from both the valve centerline and the seat plane. This geometry ensures that the disc contacts the seat only at the final closing moment, reducing friction, extending seat life, and providing reliable sealing. The wafer body fits between flanges, centered by bolts, allowing quick installation and space-saving design ideal for compact pipelines and retrofit projects.
