Function & Working

A pneumatic actuator uses compressed air to generate rotary or linear motion. The actuator can be configured as:

  • Single-acting (spring return): Provides failsafe operation—automatically closes or opens on air failure.

  • Double-acting: Air pressure drives both opening and closing, giving faster operation and balanced torque.

Actuators are integrated with positioners, solenoid valves, and limit switches for on/off or modulating control, making them suitable for both isolation and precise throttling.
